1.  Depending on the situation. This could be true or false and I disagree for part of it because you can have a great man who leads his family, provides, and loves but also a women who is unsupportive, unloyal and selfish in all ways possible. I can say I disagree because I've witnessed it through my uncles marriage. On the other hand, this could be very true and valid. My dad is a hard working man who loves his family unconditionally and as as a part of his greatness is my mom. She supports him, encourages, guides and helps him be better than he was the day before. In that case, this statement is very true.

2. I agree. Witches, demons and evil spirits definitely exist and we can see that in every day scenarios. All the bad in this world is considered evil and apart of that is demons and evil spirits, of course. I believe this because growing up in a religious household has taught me that evil spirits exist and I've been in a situation where it was obvious that something wasn't right/normal. Rather uncomfortable.

3. I really disagree with this statement. I believe that those who are faithful and true to their actions and who do the right thing are rewarded in the end, maybe not at that very moment because its hard to do the right thing but in the end, its a benefit. Those who cheat their way around things end up being successful at that moment but regretful later. I've been through this when it comes to cheating off of homework or assignments and it's honestly hard to do the right thing and I've failed to always do what's right but I also noticed that doing what's right is later beneficial to me, big or small.

4. True. I don't believe fully in the word karma but I do believe that this is true. Doing something wrong to someone will eventually come back to you and affect you in a not so positive way. I'm not perfect and I remember doing something unjust to my good friend and in a result, everything that I was hoping for and trying to "get", ended up slipping right through my hands and things turned out really really bad for me.

5. Yes, this is really true and I agree. We're all human and we want things that sometimes aren't good for us. Without thinking and sometimes even with choice, we do whats wrong and we become tempted either to cheat on someone, steal something, or even lie just to get what we want. It's our personal will power to decide whether or not we're going to fight the temptation or let it overtake you. I can say I agree wight his because I've seen marriages where one spouse cheats on the other just because of temptation of another person that they were attracted to and its quite sad but true that human beings are easily tempted.

6. Well, it doesn't have to be you who overthrows the current ruler. You should first find someone worth the competition but also too, at first that person should probably write polite complaint letters to the government or authorized leader before acting out and trying to immediately overthrow the ruler before trying different routes. By reading and learning about hitler, the things that he did to overthrow the leader of Germany at the time was selfish and inhuman in secret ways at first. I will say that I disagree.
7. Yes. I agree - only on one condition. If you are reasonably self defending yourself or others then there are circumstances and/or events that justify your nuder towards someone. If you kill someone without reasoning or valid explanation, there is NOTHING that can justify your murder. My baby cousin was murdered at 3 months by her babysitter at that time because she was crying and from autopsies, it was proven that my baby cousins head was slammed against a hard surface causing internal bleeding. Murder cannot be justified if it is first unreasonable.

8. Yes, true. In order to be successful, I believe that there will be prices and sacrifices that will need to be made in order to get where you desire to be. Although these prices must be just and humane rather than selfish and inhumane. My dad, in order to be a successful father and business owner needed to make big decisions and pay the price in order to be where he is today. Success surely isn't handed to you.

9. No, I don't agree. Someone could be a kind but still be a horrible person and leader and do things to his people that aren't right or also make decisions that probably aren't most humane. God at bare minimum wants only for people to follow him, do whats right, and do as he would. I don't believe that people who are kings are appointed from God as earthly representatives because like Hitler, he was considered like a king yet he killed millions of JEWS, which is the type of person Jesus was when he was here - God's Son. It doesn't make sense and as much as power that God has, we as humans carry out decisions of political leaders and powerful authorities with our own votes.

10. I don't believe in that. You determine how your day will be when you wake up. When events happen to you, both good and bad, you have a choice to decide how you will face the obstacle. Will you be positive and have a strong mindset towards it or let it affect you more than it ever intended to. I've only looked at my horoscope once or twice and though at times it may be accurate when I do get curious and check, I never base my life around it and I don't think its a good way to base your life or day off of.

11. No I do not agree at all. No one in this world is perfect and therefore everyone should have more than one chance in life and should not die because of it. Just because you do something wrong, it does not mean you should die and if that were the case, we'd all be dead. Every single one of us. I know this because I've done things that were wrong and not humane to another person and I also know that everyone I have a relationship/friendship with has done something wrong.

Once you are done with a partner look at the following questions and answer them together. Your answers need to be in complete sentences and you need to provide what you and your partner discussed. PROVIDE AT LEAST A PARAGRAPH PER ANSWER. Please list who your partner is.
  1. Is evil ingrained in human nature? That is, are some people just “born evil,” or is evil caused by circumstance or environment?
  2. Are our lives determined by fate, or by the acts of our free will?
  3. Is redemption truly possible? That is, is it possible to commit an act of genuine evil and truly recover from it?
  4. Is it possible to admire or respect a person whom you know has committed acts of genuine evil?
  5. Do “the ends justify the means”? That is, if one uses morally evil methods to acquire a goal, is that goal forever tainted or polluted by the actions one has taken to achieve it?

Malina:
1.) I do not believe that evil is ingrained in human nature. When a new born is welcomed in the world it doesn't automatically become evil or have evil thoughts. People are able to make their own decisions in life, some make goods ones and some make bad which then causes them to become evil. People also go through different obstacles which can also cause them to have an evil mindset on things. Being around evil people may cause you to be evil or you may be influenced by negative things growing up which is caused by the environment and society. A philosophy by Locke was the " tabula rasa " which was a theory that at birth the human mind is a "blank slate". It is the persons decision to fill in that blank slate with good or bad choices.
2.) I feel like our lives are determined by both. We can change our lives in any moment we wanted. We have total control in anything we want to do. I feel like everyone has a fate also, our fate can be connected to our free will when making decisions . Even though we may not know what our fate is i believe that they're is a plan for everyone.
3.) Redemption is possible. Its always good to give someone a second chance when they prove to you how sorry they are and if they are willing to change. We all make mistakes, but its all about learning from those mistakes to become a better person. Even though someone may have done evil things they should use that as motivation to become a better person each and every day. We should never give someone a second chance for the same situation though. If they have not learned their mistake the first time they shouldn't deserve to have continuous chances because that just proves that they don't deserve it and will never change.
4.) It is possible but hard to admire and respect someone that you know has genuine evil. After knowing what someone is capable of its hard to look at them the same way afterwards. How will we know they will change? We don't, because after they choose that path of evil they are capable of making any choices they want. Many people admired and looked at Hitler as a leader even after all the horrible things he did to innocent people.
5.) The ends to not justify the end because if someone uses evil methods to acquire a goal, that goal is forever polluted because that person did not truly achieve their goal and the things they did was not real success but rather planned and fake. A real goal is when you do the right thing and thats when you can truly say you've achieved a goal and deserve to say you've accomplished and earned something.
