Innocent and sweet
yet curious of the things she not yet knows
only wanting to experience things she was always told no
curious yet scared of what could be,
whats so bad about rebelling?
Someone hurry and please tell me
Her parents had loved her dearly, there was no doubt
they hid her from all the bad things of this world
but she just wanted a way out
protected and sheltered for all her life
all she was taught was to be obeying, friendly, and nice
who would've guess this would be
she turned into someone she never wanted to see
She took the risk and went after something so unsure
she was a bold and strong girl yet fragile and sensitive
she never wanted something (someone) so much
who would've thought that something she was always told was wrong,
could feel so right?
He made her happy and happiness was all she felt
she fell faster than expected but still,
deep down, a part of her thought it would last
she was so wrong because now
he's only a part of her past
All she felt was hurt, broken, and crushed
who knows, maybe things were just a little too rushed
he told her she had done something wrong
but that's all he said
and though it hurt, she remained strong
its okay, maybe it just wasn't meant to be
the least she deserved was an explanation
but she hadn't even gotten that
She's been through this before
its just another lesson learned
she should've listened to what they had to say
but she has no doubt that she'll be okay
your poem made me want to read more and more because its so interesting, and also sounds exactly like you. i feel like you should give hints about what your allusion is, because if i haven't known who your allusion was i wouldn't know.

ReplyDeleteYour poem showed a lot of personal emotions, which is terrific but the allusion was hazy and kind of hard to tell. Elaborate more on who or what your alluding too. Overall, it was greatly structured.
